Practical Logic (or Black Logic) in socionics

Черная (деловая) логика.

Black or Practical logic in socionics is a type of mental activity responsible for understanding the work of processes and mechanisms and the ability to organize any business. This is the logic of consistency – "what and in what order should be done in order to spend less effort, time and resources on it." Assembling a Rubik's Cube or furniture from an IKEA constructor is a manifestation of the logic of actions in its pure form.

Logic in Model A is indicated by a square icon because the square is created by the mind. Practical logic is directed to the environment, i.e. extraverted, and since the criterion of extroversion in this model is usually denoted by black, such logic is called black and is indicated by a black square icon. In the MBTI typology it is called "extraverted Thinking" (Te)

Black Logic analyzes the available data and determines the sequence of actions.  In addition, the Te is responsible for finding missing data if it is not enough to understand the whole picture.

Consider how Te manifests itself in different personality types corresponding to different functions of model A:

Base function

Base Black Logic

Stirlitz

Jack London

Practical logic is basic in Stirlitz and Jack. The Base function is the basis of the personality and intellect of a person, his view of life.

Everything is subordinated to the idea of expediency and benefit. To do this, the Base CS build the entire chain of actions that will lead to the goal. And not only build mentally but also actively implement. They are decisive and adventurous, clearly know what to do themselves and others, can organize the process well.  The best entrepreneurs are Practical logicians, especially Jackie.

It is difficult to prevent them on the way to this goal in business and interrupt in conversation, and vice versa - due to the directness of the Base function, it is very difficult to captivate them with an unprofitable or useless occupation from their point of view.

Creative function

Creative Black Logic

Balzac

Gabin

Practical logic is creative in Balzac and Gabin. A creative function is a way of communicating with the outside world and solving problems at any given moment.

Creative Black Logicians are able to find the right solutions, inventive, feel the benefit.   They try not to engage in useless or unnecessary business, and try to bring all the work to the end.

Balzac likes to instruct or criticize others because by giving advice he realizes his Base intuition of time. Since his Base "foresees the future", Balzac tries never to risk anything and always thinks about the consequences of his participation in something. Very diligent, carefully works out the details. Anticipating the possible consequences, at the end of the work he carefully checks what has been done in order to avoid mistakes.

Gabin's Practical logic solves the problems of its Base function - to achieve maximum comfort, both in the process of work and in the final result. Any problem or technical problem, he solves methodically and rationally, dividing it into several stages.  Scientific discoveries interest him from the point of view of practical application.  Gabin does everything slowly, enjoying the process of work and how possible viewers watch his work.

Role function

Role Black Logic

Hugo

Hamlet

The Practical logic is role in Hume and Hamlet.  Role function is a mask: what a person wants to appear to be, who he claims to be.

Role Black Logicians believe that people should not be idle. They try to impress people who are active and business-like who are well versed in business and economics. At the same time, they cannot calculate their strength and when it comes to daily routine work aimed at the final result, their entire mood disappears. Choosing the wrong sequence of actions, they quickly get tired and often do not finish what they started.

Vulnerable function

Vulnerable Black Logic

Dumas

Yesenin

Practical logic is Vulnerable in Dumas and Yesenin.  Vulnerable function is its weakest human trait, its vulnerable place.

A person can be quite professional in his field, but is not sure of the results of his work. This results in a desire to "not stand out" in order to avoid evaluations of their activities altogether.

Having to do something for a long time is stressful and stressful. This leads to the fact that Vulnerable Practical logicians begin to think that they are losers in business and therefore try not to leave the comfort zone.  As a rule, such people do not become successful entrepreneurs and do not rise high on the career ladder.

Suggestive function

Suggestive Black Logic

Dreiser

Dostoevsky

Practical logic is Suggestive in Dreiser and Dostoevsky.  The Suggestive function is responsible for the assimilation of knowledge accumulated by society by a person.

People of this type of personality like to collect useful tips. Both quite easily adopt standard technological techniques and do a good job, where methods and goals are clearly indicated and try not to invent anything new where everything works.

Since business advice is not treated critically, they can choose the wrong course of action, a recipe or get carried away by dubious enterprises. Choosing from equivalent options is not their strong point, so people who can clearly set the task and indicate ways to solve it need.

Mobilizing function

Mobilizing Black Logic

Napoleon

Hexley

Practical logic is Mobilizing in Napoleon and Huxley. The Mobilizing function regulates a person's actions for compliance with the norms accepted in society through self-assessment of actions.

For people of these types, only those activities that have a clear justification are important. Huxley operates on the principle of "tell me how to do it - I will think", and Napoleon on the principle of "Tell me what is needed and why, and I will do better than anyone else."

It is difficult for both to operate with logical concepts and accurately formulate tasks, but if the teacher turned out to be good, then everything will be done as it should be.

The self-esteem of Mobilizing Black Logicians increases in cases where they were able to choose the right order of actions to perform work. Therefore, if you want to improve their performance, praise them for their success and resourcefulness in completing tasks.

Limiting function

Defensive Black Logic

Robespierre

Maxim

Practical logic is a Limiting function in Robespierre and Maximus. The Limiting function serves to protect the individual from unpleasant or dangerous outside influences.

Subconsciously, when the cup of patience is overflowing, they first of all try to limit their contacts with the source of trouble with the words "it's not your business" or vice versa, "do not entangle me in your affairs."

They can just as easily interrupt the unpleasant process itself - turn off the mechanism or get out of business.

Demonstrative function

Demonstrative Black Logic

Don Quixote

Zhukov

Practical logic is Demonstrative in Don and Zhukov.  The Demonstrative function is responsible for the correct instantaneous unconscious reactions in everyday life.

People of these types instinctively choose the right technological solutions and know without explanation what to do and in what order.

They have innate organizational skills and can always lead a group of people on the way to achieving a goal. Moreover, most of those around them recognize their leadership in these matters.
