The Vulnerable function
The Vulnerable function in the information model of the human psyche is its weakest feature, its vulnerable place is the Achilles heel. Information on it is perceived very Vulnerablely, the activity is difficult, any reproaches are unpleasant.
Therefore, people usually try to provide options for pressure protection for this function. They are aware of their insecurity in this area and inability to control their actions, although it is very difficult for them to admit it. But the slightest success in matters related to Vulnerable causes a very high degree of satisfaction.
The Vulnerable function in the psyche is a counterbalance to the creative function,which is too active and is able to push a person to ill-considered actions. Vulnerable limits such actions, acting as a kind of regulator.
The information model of the psyche in socionics determines which aspect fills the Vulnerable function in each personality type.
Below we consider the manifestations of Vulnerable for all possible aspects:
Vulnerable Introverted Sensing, aka White Sensing (Si) or "Experiential Sensing"
Experiential Sensing is a Vulnerable function in Hamlet and Jack. White Sensing is our own senses. Failure to adequately evaluate them leads either to their ignoring or to overestimating them.
This can be expressed in complete indifference to one's own appearance and health, or vice versa, to excessive concern for one's appearance or the search for non-existent diseases. They may also have strange tastes and food preferences.
Vulnerable Extraverted Ethics, aka Black Ethics (Fe) or "Ethics of Emotions"
The ethics of emotion are Vulnerable in Balzac and Gabin. Black Ethics is the ability to properly express emotions and emotional manifestations to influence people and manipulate them.
Vulnerable Black Ethics react very Vulnerablely to emotional impact. It is difficult for them to be in the same room with a person who screams, cries or laughs loudly, because they do not know how to influence other people's emotions. They do not like noise, prefer to communicate with balanced people.
It is very difficult for such people to show their emotions in public, because of the fear that it looks clumsy. They believe that words cannot express the feelings they are experiencing and therefore sound false. Adequately they understand only simple natural emotions without playfulness, which are able to give out their duals - demonstrative black ethics napoleon and Huxley.
With emotional pressure, Balzac withdraws into himself, hiding emotions, and Gabin defiantly inflates, exposing his condition to be left behind.
Vulnerable introverted logic, aka White Logic (Ti) or "Structural Logic"
The Structural Logic is Vulnerable in Napoleon and Huxley. White Logic is responsible for understanding formal rules and relationships. Any object is perceived as a hierarchical system with its own patterns.
Weak people in this respect have problems with filling out official documents, and in general with their correct understanding. It is difficult for them to distinguish the main from the secondary, and as a result, perform a logical analysis of the phenomenon or document. When explaining something, Vulnerable white logicians can start right in the middle, constantly jumping from topic to topic without revealing the essence.
Vulnerable Extraverted Sensory, aka Black Sensing (Se) or "Volitional Sensing"
Volitional sensing is Vulnerable in Robespierre and Dostoevsky. Black Sensing is responsible for the ability to focus, to force oneself and others, for the ability to defend one's opinion and living space.
Vulnerable black sensors seem to be under pressure, and organically do not tolerate it. They cannot press in response themselves - Dostoevsky in principle does not approve of any violence, and Robespierre, as a logician, allows "just (from his point of view) violence", but by someone else's hands. The advice to "be more persistent" only irritates both of them.
Vulnerable Introverted Intuition, aka White Intuition (Ni) or "temporal intuition"
The Temporal intuition is Vulnerable in Gugo and Stirlitz. White Intuition is responsible for the ability to predict the course of events, so a person with a lack of these abilities poorly calculates the time required for any actions. Vulnerable white intuitives try to do a lot of things in a limited period of time, not realizing that there will not be enough time.
Stirlitz really does not like to waste time, and with those who do not appreciate his time tries not to have any business. The need to work in conditions of limited time, as well as unforeseen delays, is extremely unnerving for him.
Gyugo believes he can do more than is possible. Due to the constant time pressure, he has nervous overloads and fatigue accumulates. Often you can see how Hugo, coming to the meeting, immediately begins to fussily hurry somewhere. Afraid of being late, he may come to the meeting earlier or not appear at all.
Vulnerable Extraverted Logic, aka Black Logic (Te) or "Practical logic"
Practical logic is Vulnerable in Dumas and Yesenin. Black Logic is responsible for understanding the sequence of actions - "what and in what order you need to do in order to spend less effort, time and resources on it."
A person can be quite professional in his field, but is not sure of the results of his work. This results in a desire to "not stand out" in order to avoid evaluations of their activities altogether.
Having to do something for a long time is stressful and stressful. This leads to the fact that Vulnerable Practical logicians begin to think that they are losers in business and therefore try not to leave the comfort zone. As a rule, such people do not become successful entrepreneurs and do not rise high on the career ladder.
Vulnerable Introverted Ethics, aka White Ethics (Fi) or "Relational Ethics"
The relational ethics is Vulnerable in Zhukov and Don Quixote. White Ethics is responsible for evaluating people's relationships and manipulating those relationships. In addition, it regulates empathy for others and moral evaluation of actions.
Such people do not understand complex relationships and intrigues, their feelings and emotions are quite straightforward. In addition, Vulnerable white ethics can accidentally offend someone without noticing it, or something "blur" without realizing that sometimes it is better to keep silent. The flow of information on white ethics that contradicts common sense causes discomfort for both of them, so they try to avoid any discussion on this topic: "do not wake up dashing while sleeping quietly"
Zhukov, as a sensory, seeks to impose his society in order to raise his authority, and Don tries to avoid those with whom he does not have relationships, so as not to spoil them even more.
Extraverted intuition, aka Black Intuition (Ne) or "intuition of possibilities"
Intuition of possibilities is a Vulnerable function in Maxim and Dreiser. Black Intuition is responsible for the ability to see the potential of any idea or person, as well as for the ability to make the right choice from equivalent options.
Maxes avoid any uncertainty and try to eliminate ambiguities from their lives. They need to know everything in advance. They are afraid of surprises and expect a trick from each situation, and if something really happens, it is difficult for them to find a way out of the situation.
Dreisers have difficulty choosing the right solution, not being able to predict what will be best. This is not the case when they know exactly what they need. Here they do great.
They do not like to make a choice even in the simplest everyday situations. If, in response to your request, which implies the possibility of choice, Dreiser does something wrong, it will spoil his mood for a long time, and he will then spoil it for you, because it was you who did not formulate your request clearly and clearly.
