Personality types of 'The Freak Circus' characters

Visual novel «The Freak Circus» is a psychological horror story in anime style, released in June 2025 by independent developer Garula.

The story follows a modest café worker whose peaceful life collapses after a chance encounter with a mysterious mime named Pierrot. With the arrival of a sinister traveling circus in town, the protagonist is drawn into a dangerous game between the obsessively yandere Pierrot and his rival Harlequin. Behind the bright lights of the big top lie kidnappings, manipulation, and psychological madness.

In early 2026, a major Day 2 update was released, adding new characters and significantly expanding the story. The novel features a branching plot with multiple endings and is strictly 18+ due to violent scenes, psychological abuse, and heavy themes.
