Cognitive function 'Introverted sensing'

Introverted Sensing (Si) in MBTI is the process of processing information coming from the senses based on prior knowledge and experience.
In other words, we compare and contrast what is happening with everything we have experienced before. This allows us to form subjective opinions and make decisions, but it takes a little longer to make them. The famous phrase "Learns from experience" describes this process well.
One of the important components of Si is the perception of internal bodily sensations. More than any other psychological function, Si provides access to our most basic sense of "being," regardless of thoughts or external stimuli, and is therefore applied in practices such as Matitation and Yoga.
