Epileptoid Personality Type: Between Authoritarianism and Sensitivity

Epileptoid Personality Type
The epileptoid personality type is a unique combination of characteristics that can manifest themselves in behavior and relationships with others. Excitability, tension, and authoritarianism are just a few of the many traits that define this type.

According to the typology of character accentuation by the Soviet psychiatrist Lichko, the epileptoid type of accentuation is described as increased excitability, tension and a desire for authoritarianism in an individual. People with this accentuation are often prone to periods of angry-despondent mood, show irritability with emotional outbursts, and look for objects to get out of anger. Such people cannot tolerate resistance and material losses. However, they take care of their health, are punctual, and strive to dominate their peers. In the intimate sphere, they are characterized by bright jealousy. Often they have cases of alcohol intoxication, accompanied by the release of anger and aggression
