Personality types of 'Hollow Knight' characters

The game Hollow Knight is a cult computer game in the metroidvania genre with action-adventure elements, developed by the Australian studio Team Cherry and released in 2017.
The story follows a silent Knight who descends into the ruined kingdom of Hallownest, afflicted by a mysterious Infection that turns its inhabitants into maddened creatures. As the hero explores the depths of this world, they uncover the origins of the disease and the ancient powers lurking in the shadows of the fallen realm.
In 2018, a major update titled Godmaster was released, adding new bosses to the game. In 2025, the studio released the long-awaited sequel — Hollow Knight: Silksong, featuring Hornet, a character who previously appeared in a supporting role in the original.
